Tonsured bust facing, pellet in field either side, all within inner circle, +VVLFREDI ARCIHEPISCOPI surrounding. Rev. DOROVERNIA C monogram within inner circle, legend +SVVEFHERD MONETA. 1.32g, die axis 12h (S.888; North 240 variant (bust does not break inner circle); Naismith C47.1b). A miniscule edge crack at 11 o’clock under magnification and the flan a little undulating, with some porosity, otherwise a delightful coin, centrally struck on sound metal with a pleasing portrait. A bold good very fine and very rare.
